Medical Definition of Weil's disease

: a severe form of leptospirosis that is characterized by jaundice, chills, fever, muscle pain, shortness of breath, and chest pain and that is caused by a spirochete of the genus Leptospira (L. interrogans, especially serotype icterohaemorrhagiae)

Note: If left untreated, Weil's disease may cause life-threatening damage to the brain, kidneys, lungs, liver, or heart.
