Medical Definition of Wegener's granulomatosis
: an uncommon disease of unknown cause that is characterized chiefly by inflammation of small blood vessels and granuloma formation especially in the respiratory tract and kidneys and typically has an onset during the ages of 40 to 65
Note: Symptoms of Wegener's granulomatosis include fatigue, fever, weight loss, runny nose, nosebleed, sinus pain, cough, shortness of breath, and skin sores. Left untreated, Wegener's granulomatosis can progress to life-threatening organ failure especially of the kidneys or lungs.
